How the rating works

Each rating goes through three steps before a reader sees it.

  1. Scan

    Prema scans the text of the post. A detection model estimates which parts a person wrote and which parts AI wrote.

  2. Review

    An editor reads the result. The editor confirms or corrects it, then signs off.

  3. Show

    The badge shows the rating. Readers open the panel to see the details and your AI note.

A detector score is one signal. It is not proof. Prema always puts a person between the score and the reader.

AI disclosure rules changed in 2026

Laws and platforms now ask publishers to show when AI made the content. Prema helps you show it clearly.

European Union

EU AI Act, Article 50

From August 2, 2026, AI-generated content must carry a disclosure. The law asks for a visible label and a label in the file data.

California

SB 942, AI Transparency Act

The law points to provenance data as the way to disclose AI content. Provenance data records how a person or a tool made the file.

United States

FTC rules on deception

You must disclose AI when it gives readers an impression that matters to their choices. The disclosure must be near the content.
